Hotel Alden is a collection of 3 buildings and we were in the Old Bank Building. The room decorated with historic furniture was comfortable, but a bit on the small side, with the skinniest twin beds we've ever slept in. The properties have a bare minimum of management - you check-in at a nearby restaurant (perhaps it also serves as one of their other buildings of rooms) and you are on your own after that. Fine for us, but if you need amenities or prefer a more hands-on management style you might look elsewhere. Although Seydisfjordur is a very small town and I don't know how many options there are. You quickly forget what the hotel lacks because the town is located in the most beautiful setting and we wish we had more time to explore the area.
