"A truly unforgettable experience, everything is exceptional! Accommodation, hospitality, breakfast - especially breakfast, not only delicious but sees you through until at least teatime! Camilla is the best host you will ever come across and her recommendations for whatever you what to do are absolutely on point. The ambience is welcoming, relaxing and sumptuous, highly recommended. Would definitely stay here again. "

"Great location, close to Metro. Awesome rooftop; ideal for viewing the city and gathering. Restaurant and Bar are also on rooftop. A bit of disappointment on the breakfast choices: either coffee/croissant or the entire Buffett. Overall a great place to stay."

"Honestly, the quality of the rooms is on a whole other level. The staff was wonderful. The restaurant, well simply amazing.
It’s only con (which may be a pro to some people) is that you are literally on Dam Square. So it’s busy, very busy.
Other than that, no notes! "

"I really enjoyed my stay here and in the neighborhood. It was easy to get here with public transportation to and from the airport and I found many of the things I wanted to see within a 15-20 minute walking distance from the hotel, and rarely took the metro. As for the hotel, it was clean, the staff was very courteous, the room was a good size, and I hope to return soon. "
"Got the XL room for 4x folks and it surpassed all our expectations - extremely spacious, clean and the hotel itself was an amazing mix of work/vacation folks that made it feel safe at all times. The club downstairs and restaurant on the rooftop was also a 10/10. the location of this hotel couldnt be any better. 100% recco Volkshotel for any stay in amsterdam. i will def be back."
"Loved that the hotel itself is super close to the metro, so could go in and out of the city center easily but also enjoy quiet time being a bit further out than the hussle and bussle. On top of that, the hotel itself was beautifully done, environmentally friendly and wonderful staff! "
