The hotel pool was situated across the road which was 2/3 minutes walk away and you could go into the sea as well which was great, but a few of the sun umbrellas were broken throughout my stay and hadn’t been repaired. The gym didn’t have much equipment and two of the items were broken. There was two power cuts for a short while on two occasions, no fault of the hotel I don’t think! The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful at the hotel and the pool area.

The hotel staff are very pleasant and the beach club staff are exceptional. I paid extra for the option of having a beach club (5 min walk down from the hotel) so be able to relax after site-seeing. The spa is ok - sauna is a bit funky smelling and could do with renovation. Also, though there are signs asking for guests to be quiet, the hotel does nothing to stop loud groups taking selfies in the area - NOT relaxing at all. This is pricey, but there are so many great food options in close distance (try Kebab Ji) so no need to eat in hotel restaurant or have their 25 Euro breakfast when there's a fabulous coffee shop at the end of the road. There is also a SPAR grocery store to buy bottled water. The negative feed back is there is no sea view - the hotel is not sea front. You look into apartments and only if you strain your head to the left - you might get a glimpse so don't pay extra for something that doesn't exist. The driver employed by the hotel for airport and excursions is great! Just be sure to book a day in advance as the few spaces get filled up quickly (note: there is no ride back from sites so you would have to Uber or public transport your way back)

Overall enjoyed our experience. However, we experienced significant noise being on the first floor. We could hear noise from the lobby and there was noise coming from above. The noise from above resulted in us changing rooms for a night. When asked if we were on the side of the construction were told no, but found to be on that side come morning (room we moved to for a night). The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The pool/sauna is inside the hotel. It did not respect the 12 people maximum. The dry sauna can fit about 4 people and is very nice. The pool is on the cooler side. Overall, the pool/sauna services were good. The infinity pool is not attached to the hotel but down the street at a private beach club. We knew it was not open for the season. There are free activities available like yoga and one-way shuttles to locations on the island, depending on the day of the week. The location is good for dining and getting the ferry to Valletta.

Beautiful hotel, absolutely destroyed by constant, noisy building works that starts at 7am. Spa has gently playing Zen music accompanied by jack hammer. Wouldn't go back to this hotel until finished, BUT I would use again once completed. A great pity that this vital piece of information wasn't on website before booking. In a built up area but actually was convenient for bars, restaurants and shops. Smallest balcony I have ever seen!

The staff were all extremely helpful and very friendly. The room was lovely and was kept very clean by the staff. The restaurant was very good and served a very nice breakfast. There was a lovely Spa and pool The location was very good. Close to the waterfront, restaurants, bars and buses. The only downsides were building works close by . . .

PROS Nice sized room. Staff are nice and friendly. Spa had a jetted pool, heated ceramic bed, steam room & sauna available for use. This was a nice bonus since the outdoor pool wasn’t available. CONS The room I got was above directly above the kitchen, so I got to smell the grease and heard the vibration from the kitchen fans. I mentioned this to the front desk and one of the managers came up but I think he thought I was crazy and kindly said they would move me but were all booked up and he would look into this again but never got back to me. The room was also next to the service elevator / storage room so there was a lot of noise in the morning. Scaffolding outside my patio. Some construction in the hotel. The fire alarm went off twice during my stay. The photo on the website is not completely accurate. It looks like you’re booking a waterfront property – but you’re actually two blocks away from the water. Part of the reason I booked this hotel was that it had an outdoor pool – unfortunately, it was closed for the season and not available. It is also two blocks away from the property. Also advertised at booking through Expedia, is that I would receive a bottle of wine which I didn’t get. I would have asked about it at the time but forgot about this as I was dealing with the noise and smell issue. Decent property, but I wouldn’t book it again.

Great hotel all round
Lovely hotel, located in a back street and very close to all amenities. Initial room was fine but we were woken early in the morning by the generator which kicked in due to a power cut. In fairness to the manager, we were moved to a room on the other side of the building. This room was of a higher standard than our booked one, which we had not expected but very much appreciated. All staff were extremely nice. Spa facilities were very relaxing, presumably if you want to swim then the outdoor pool in the summer is the thing to do. All in all a great place to stay, highly recommended.

Breakfast was ok. The issue with this hotel is that on its site/app it fails to disclose that there is construction underway. There is also work going on next door to the front of hotel. Noise starts after 7am up to about 4. The hotel is tired and even bigger rooms are neglected, surprising that instead a new pool terrace and restaurant are instead now being built. This is not a 4 star property and the serenity advertised is a myth. The beach club is closed as off season but at least this is stated on tge site. No mention of noise. Had to change rooms 3 times, due variously to external noise, paper thin walls, internal noise, faulty ac. There were also issues with water being cut off, mosquitoes and cockroaches, very disappointing since the place had been recently treated by pest control. I would urge prospective guests to check construction status with hotel direct. They cannot control work elsewhere, and there is a lot of development currently, however I believe they have a legal duty to inform potential customers as to what is going on at the hotel, since it ruined my trip, and I do not believe this hotel in its current situation should be advertised as a VIP experience.

Not recommended at all
Not recommended:/ 1. The pictures do not reflect the situation today, the hotel requires serious maintenance. 2. The round outdoor pool that you see in the picture isn't part of the hotel at all but is located down the street about 5 minutes walk and is closed now. 3. Disgraceful service!! We arrived at the hotel in the evening and even before we went up to the room we understood that our room was right on the construction of the building next door:/ we asked an exchange but were told that the hotel is full and it will be possible only on the next day. We had no choice but to go up to the room (2nd floor facing the road) and at midnight it turned out that the toilets isn't working, we called the reception and after 15 minutes waiting they asked us to change to a different room 7th floor not facing the construction, suddenly they had a different room😳 4. No water pressure in the shower ( impossible to shampoo!) 5. The filter in the faucet is missing so the water splashes everywhere. 6. There is tea in the room but there is no kettle and although we asked several times it was not provided. We asked for a kettle 3 timthere are toilets in the room but no kettle). In short, bad service. The one good thing was the small indoor pool, where you can activate jacuzzi streams, (actually it's more like a big jacuzzi than a pool that can fit2-4)..
