“Perfect location, close to everything. Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff. I was worried it might be noisy because of the location but it was quiet. Nice to have the small kitchen and living room space you won’t usually get in a hotel room. The parking was a little sparse but we made it work. ”
“Perfect hotel for me, my partner, and dog! Other hotels and airbnbs in the area were extra expensive and/or not pet-friendly due to LDW, and we didn’t want to spend $1,000+ for just a 3-night stay.
If you’re looking for a hotel that’s affordable, perfectly located, has a lot of outdoor activities, very dog friendly, and a midwest/vintage charm, Sun & Sand is a great choice. While the rooms are a bit outdated, they were clean and well-kept. The bathroom was especially clean.

The view of the lake was amazing the swimming area was closed off the entire time we were there unfortunately. The only thing that is weird is the parking lot is very small and if alot of cars are there you may get stuck depending on where you park ”

“Very walkable spot for downtown and the harbor area. Todd was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was accommodated and everything was running smoothly! He is outstanding and could not be more helpful and welcoming!
Made to order breakfast was delicious. Happy hour drinks and snacks were great.
Only downside was our bathroom/shower situation was very tiny and tight and lots of street noise at night. However, if we could get a different room we would absolutely stay here……
“Historical, our first BnB. Easy to find. Easy to park. Shopping and food and lake nearby. We went kayaking nearby. Ate and fantastic places. Easy to maneuver. Love the big tub and fireplace. Overall nice area and stay. ”
“We really enjoyed the large comfortable spa room. The hospitality coming and going was spot on! Walking distance to everything to do in South Haven, including the beaches! The housemade breakfast was so relaxing and tasty. We will definitely look to stay there again when we return. ”
“This B&B exceeded our expectations. Our room was so comfortable and decorated in the timeless era of the early 1900s but in a modern way. The property is outside the city limits of South Haven so there are blueberry fields behind the property, free range chickens, and a small vineyard. The owners produce exceptional wine and offer wine tastings. The gourmet breakfasts included with your stay are prepared by the co-owner who was an acclaimed chef. The meals were amazing!
