"Right from when we arrived at reception, everyone has has been extremely nice, the receptionist the bar staff the cleaners everyone, we couldn’t ask for. The room was lovely and clean, the bed was really comfy, the bathroom was spotless as was the room itself, we had tea and coffee making facilities, there was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers, just perfect. "

"First time at this hotel, staying for one night. A quick visit to Tiverton on the way home from a few days in Bideford to see the Grand Western Canal and assess the potential for a future longer visit. Overall, facilities, food and staff excellent, decor a little tired. Free parking on site a major advantage. Room comfortable, but no USB ports provided to charge phones etc. However, will definitely consider coming back at a later date. "

"Our room was spacious and gorgeous. The bed was really comfortable and big! We were in a Premium King Room. The bathroom was large but it did also smell quite badly of damp. The only negative was the car parking. None available on site and not able to drive up to hotel so we had to bring all our luggage from a neighbouring public car park. Unfortunately the lift wasn't working at the car park so we had to carry 3 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. Parking was 18 British pounds per day, pay and display, and we had to keep going back each day to pay for another 24 hours. Overall though, a fabulous hotel in a great location."

"The parking area always seemed safe. Tea bags, milk, and towels were generously supplied in the room. And I enjoyed the seating areas out by the river."

"Great old place but needs some love. Bed ok pillows not so good. Heater works well but not towel rack. Water gets hot but not great pressure. "

"First class service by reception staff. We had a very early flight and hotel happy to arrange a 4am breakfast. Always use this hotel for early flights from Exeter airport. Highly recommended"
