The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There were no amenities in the bathroom (shampoo, conditioner, lotion) but I was happy to use my own. Staff was courteous and helpful. There was only one staff member on at the front desk who I felt sorry for because of other customers showing rude behaviors towards her instead of asking nicely for assistance. There were no restaurants within safe walking distance. However, driving, within a one mile radius on the other side of the freeway there were multiple choices. There was no breakfast at the hotel in the morning so you would have to go elsewhere to either eat at a sit down restaurant or pick something up. I gave it 4 stars because of the room comfort and quietness but it did lack on amenities.

This hotel oozes old world charm but has all the comfort of a modern property. The staff is super friendly and very courteous. And the food at its bistro is delicious. All and all a lovely property to consider when staying in downtown Boise.

We love staying at the BGH! We’ve stayed here several times and it’s always great. Quiet, walkable to downtown spots, clean, spacious and the amenities are great. We will always pick staying at this quaint inn rather than a busting corporate hotel. ❤️

Nice room in an extended stay facility so no breakfast on premises. A construction site was located adjacent to our side of the hotel where our room was but fortunately it was Sunday and work didn't resume until Monday morning when we were getting up.

My trip overall I would say was very positive. The hotel made for a good stay and I can’t complement the staff enough with how professional and helpful they were. The only downside I would say is the maintenance of the overall facility, but I know it must be very difficult to keep everything pristine. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Place was a dump and needs remodeled bad. My room reeked and the ceiling of the bathroom was peeling bad. I also had neighbors who were ridiculously loud until 3:00 a.m. the next morning I went down at 8 to go get breakfast (breakfast ran from 7-10) and to my surprise there was no food left."
