“This is a complaint for Expedia I am writing to raise a complaint regarding a recent booking I made through Expedia for accommodation in Split, Croatia in “Top Rooms accommodation”. When making the booking, I specifically selected and paid extra for a sea-facing room. The photographs shown during the booking process on the specific room description I clicked on, depicted a room with views overlooking Split Harbour, which was a significant factor in our decision to book this accommodation and……

“This is NOT safe for a solo woman!!! Do NOT stay here. The room is down a dark back alley, difficult to locate. The concrete stairwell is unlit, with rubbish bags stacked. Entry is via a keypad lock- and there is NO way to secure once inside. The owner provides remote instructions which is also very unhelpful. I felt incredibly unsafe and immediately moved to a hotel.”
