The hotel was clean and well appointed. The shower was especially nice. The breakfast was also good. The one big concern was finding a dead bug under the mattress (we always check). My husband, a biologist, identified it as a beetle, but it still should not have been there. I did end up with several bites anyhow, and did not have them before the stay. When I mentioned the dead bug upon check out, the front desk person apologized, but did not offer any kind of compensation (discounting the room, a voucher for a discount on a future stay, etc.). When experiencing any problem (e.g., no hot water) at other hotels, the management has always offered some kind of compensation. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected the same from Marriott.
