"Everything was fine until I got locked in the bathroom in my room when I didn’t even lock the door and couldn’t get out. I had a panic attack since my children were outside and I didn’t have access to them and I had to rely on a 6 and 9 year old to get me help. Luckily they got me out within 15 minutes but it is scary/helpless feeling when a single parent cannot keep an eye on their children and they are denied access to them even for a short time. "

"We arrived late at night and left the next morning. The room was clean, the only problem was the in room microwave didn’t work and the breakfast area did not have a microwave. But our stay was good. "

"staff was great; breakfast was great; room and fitness center in poor condition - finishes peeling off room and cabinet doors, lights not working bedside; fitness center HVAC not working/equipment out of order or in poor condition (one treadmill tagged out of order, the other made so many squeaks and noises when using that it sounded like it was about to die)"

"The hotel is dated. Beds are rock hard. An attempt is made to soften them with what felt like an additional mattress topper, but they are so worn down that it doesn't help at all. May as well have paid half the price for one of those sketchy run down motels. I don't expect 5 stars from a hotel in the middle of nowhere MO, but I expect more from this hotel chain. Everything needs a big refresh, otherwise lower the prices to reflect what's being provided."

"Absolutely seamless experience. Everything was exactly as expected and we had no trouble checking in or out. It was a secluded respite still close to activities. Walking up to the bluff on the property was particularly enjoyable. "

"The host changed the reservation from the Blue house to the White house without notice. I asked for pictures, no response. We arrived at 4 p.m. as required and the property was not cleaned at all - unmade beds, unwashed linens, used towels in bathroom, old food in the fridge, etc. Contacted the host and he sent the cleaning lady over because she "forgot" to clean that day. We were on a schedule so waiting on the cleaning threw us off. We ended up leaving to our scheduled event without ever getting to use the property to change clothes, eat, etc. When we came back several hours later, the cleaning was done but there was still a dirty towel in the bathroom. The bathroom sink was VERY slow to drain. The shower and the toilet worked fine. During the check in process, I was on the phone with VRBO customer service two different times. After waiting for a "supervisor" for over 20 minutes both times, the calls were disconnected. VRBO then sent me an Email and I responded with the facts of the uncleaned property. As of this writing, I have received no response from VRBO and no offer to rectify the situation from either VRBO or the host."
