Drive1/2 mile to Red Hook for the evening with many excellent restaurants and bars. Condo has king bed, full kitchen and bathroom w/ everything you'll need for your stay. Split A/C keeps the unit cool along w/ 4 ceiling fans located throughout. However, the condo has a musty, moldy smell, and we found black mold in the shower and bathroom area, as well as in the kitchen. The beach towels that were provided were stained and dirty, and the bed had sand in the sheets when we arrived. When we messaged the host, he took 24 hours to answer us the first time and only asked for pictures. It ended up taking him 36 hours to fix the issue of the dirty towels. It is well kept and is very close to a very nice beach where you can snorkel or just hang out. The marina is an easy walk with snorkel, fishing, and wave runner rentals can be found. Bed was so comfortable I didnt want to get up! Raleigh was super helpful and responded quickly. One thing to note is you do need to traverse two flights of stairs to reach the unit. Decor/furniture is outdated and not necessarily inviting. The place gets the job done. This was one of the most "affordable" and "nicest" places availabile on the island. AC does not cool all that great. I also want to note that you must use stairs to access the unit. I liked that the kitchen was stocked with essentials and that it was a full-sized fridge. ##### J.
