You can also visit the magnificent Burghley House (6 miles), with its beautiful parkland and gardens – a must on a sunny day. The focal point of this exceptional holiday home is its lakeside view, with bi-fold doors in the open-plan living space framing uninterrupted scenes of the sparkling water.
