“Lovely home in a good location. We hiked high top mountain and made a visit to the glasshouse winery. Home was clean and well setup. We played lots of games in the family room and 6 sat comfortably at the table for dinners. ”

“Absolutely love Lydia Mountain. We usually stay in the cabins but booked a last minute trip to the lodge for a night. The room was very spacious, King bed was comfortable, living area was nice with gas fireplace. The loft area was adorable. The ONLY negative was the infestation of stink bugs. They were coming out of every nook and cranny, way worse in the loft. We probably removed 50 or so. Not sure how to fix the issue. We will certainly be back…but maybe with bug spray in hand.”

“My wife and I used to live down the street. We never knew how nice the lodge is and how amazing the restaurant is. Honestly we would have gone there to eat all the time if would have even known it was there. It is the best restaurant in the area by far. Their omelettes are big and very flavorful, but the burger was probably the best burger I have had in a very long time. My wife loved the chicken pimento cheese egg rolls. “We had a great stay at Dancing Bear cabin. Great location very close to Shenandoah National Park. The cabin is beautiful inside and out and the views off the back deck are amazing. The cabin was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. Highly recommend!”

“Listing said there was a hot tub, but there was none, the listing said there was a fireplace inside, but there was none. The amenities were too far to the next building to even enjoy and difficult to find at night time, but the bed was very comfortable and the patio was nice. I will not go back, as per my video there was a huge trash pile in the back. “We booked for the weekend for our 19th wedding anniversary. The ease of booking, checking in and checking out were very convenient. The room was clean and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The restaurant was great and highly recommend. The staff was very pleasant. Our only issue was the driveway being barely enough room for two way traffic. But we will definitely be staying again.”

“I’ve stayed here twice now this year. The first time was great- no issues. This time a large chunk of paint/ drywall paper was falling off the ceiling in the bathroom, there was no hand soap or conditioner, the bed sheets were full of hair. I asked about hand soap and someone helped me locate some. From Check in to restaurant staff to Cadence even giving us a beautiful decoration (that were willing to pay for) to remember such a wonderful anniversary trip.
