This hotel checked all the boxes for our family’s stay at Penn State. Cleanliness of the shared areas and rooms was particularly noticeable. Beds were awesome and super comfortable. Front desk, cleaning, and breakfast area staff were always smiling and warm to customers. They experienced a partial power outage during our stay where the elevators became unavailable for a few hours, but staff handled the issue very well. Would highly recommend staying here.

BRRRRRRR! I really appreciate Country Inn & Suites bc the service is always IMPECCABLE (a rare thing anymore) and the rooms are extremely clean, quiet, and nicely furnished. Four stars, bc while I really DO like this hotel, I could not get the fancy thermostat to adjust! The default setting was a frigid 61, and when I increased the temp, even by a few degrees, the heat turned on. Also, it would be great if they could add dedicated recycling containers so I can stop packing out my recyclables. Overall, I highly recommend staying here. There's even 24 hour coffee/cookies and free breakfast for those who eat traditional breakfast fare.

It was a nice looking room. The girls at the front desk were nice when we checked in. But that's where it ended. First called about the air because the room wasn't cooling. Basically told it was working. That it was our body heat causing it and the thermostat always shows it's 73 even though I have it on 64. Then we noticed the wifi didn't work. For anyone traveling with multiple yong kids that's a big deal. I was made to feel like I was just complaining and told nothing they could do about it. I'm 43 years old and I've never once complained at any hotel I've ever stayed in or written a review. But this all just left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Very solid place and would recommend. Noted that the floor in our large walk-in shower was quite slippery when wet and soapy. Staff had added a rubber matt to the shower (draped over the wall) but it was undersized for the floor area and my wife slipped and could have hurt herself (did not). Otherwise, it’s really a lovely property deserving of the kudos from Choice Hotels corporate.

Property was a sufficient hotel and staff was nice but the room smelled musty. Although the bed appeared to be clean, I woke at 4 a.m. suspecting bug bites. My son was sleeping next to me and we had a college tour that morning. I did not want to wake him so I could not check the bed thoroughly. Two days later the effect of bed bug bites have appeared all along my exposed arms. Absolutely disgusting.
