"Just an overnight stay. On our way back home from northern New York. The place was nice. It is peaceful sitting on the deck. The check in process was a little tedious with various emails and downloads required. The Backstep is a little sketchy. Be careful walking in. Overall the place was nice"

"We enjoyed a relaxing drive to Front Royal, VA, excited about the VRBO we had chosen near the Shenandoah River. It did not disappoint--a large, beautiful, and comfortable home with many amenities that made our stay stress free and truly enjoyable. The house was clean and well-appointed to include a car fast charger! Information on local sites made our excursions easy to plan and the owner was quick to respond when we had any questions. Would stay here again anytime!"

"Beautiful and comfortable room, which was very quiet and very clean. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Our only issue was an electrical outlet in the bathroom that did not work. The front desk put in an immediate request for maintenance to fix it. Other than that, it was a perfect day."

It's out of town slightly, so you would have to drive if you were looking for somewhere else to eat. "The beauty of the property to begin with. Old world charm but modernized without detracting from the original character. The grand mailbox, each floor having a mailbox which directly connects with and is fed by gravity to the “grand” collection box on the ground floor! Beautiful! The basement pool is a spectacle to behold! The beauty along with the perfect water temperature provided a perfect ending to our evening!"

"This location has to be one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Very very clean, friendly people and a super good breakfast. They actually had someone restocking the breakfast bar. Pet friendly too. Very convenient access on and off the highway at a very reasonable rate for the night. "
