“Clean but is student housing during the school months. Very clean close to most major attractions. No ac and windows on the ground level hardly open so during hot days expect it to be toasty. Since it is student housing at night the courtyard can be heard with the voices of some students or guests.”

“I have just arrived home after staying at this accommodation for 4 nights. The rooms themselves are quite good, modern, small, clean, and have the bare essentials you need. The location is quite good with it being only a 1.5 to 2km walk to Temple Bar and other attractions. The street the accommodation is on has convenience shops and cafes which were really quite good.
Things to consider when you stay here:
It is essentially student accommodation so there are no frills. You will need to buy……

“Room was clean spacious, on site laundry, and kitchen was a perfect bonus for the last leg of our trip. Bed was comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Our luggage didn’t make the plane and the staff was happy to receive the bag if we were not around. Great place to stay!”

“The reviews on this have been variable so it’s time to weigh in with my own. Bottom line - if you want a decent stay for a cost-effective price, DO consider this. If you’re looking for the Ritz, it’s probably wrong for you.
This is normally student accommodation and so is way better than a hostel while not being a hotel. You get your own, modern, fairly smart room with an en suite shower room and toilet. There’s also a modern shared kitchen/TV area with oven and microwave and washing up……

“It is a wonderful place to stay if you want to relax in the country and still be close to Dublin (less than a 1/2 hour away). You can walk to the surrounding towns to take in a good meal and some cold drinks and take in the local flare. The hosts are wonderful folks that genuinely care for the comfort of their guests. Since we didn’t have a car they took the time to drive me into town for some ice since there was none on the freezer. I ask who does this? Not many would. Thank you for 3 memorable……

“Dear Sean & Brian and the whole team of the Alensgrove Cottages! It has been a most wonderful stay at your place. We loved the apartment and the surroundings and felt very safe. The apartment offered everything we needed, it was very comfortable. Thanks for the welcoming package! The kids were delighted to find Nutella, honey and different kinds of jam and cereal for breakfast. Me, I was grateful for having a washing machine. At one point, when having a problem with the television, it was fixed……
