Best location of a very dated hotel. The hotel needs some serious renovation. Its location is ideal for ocean view ( if you reserve a sea view room), site seeing, walks etc. We enjoyed the location more than the surroundings.

Lovely , nice staff, small town , dining options very limited. TV was tiny, water pressure was terrible, but its a very old building that probably didnt have running water when it was built so its all been retro fitted. Absolutely beautiful view.

The Portpatrick Hotel never fails to disappoint. The location is wonderful but the hotel itself is poor, poorly maintained and no attention to detail by housekeeping when preparing rooms, with empty soap dispensers in the bathroom. The hotel just seems neglected, badly managed and understaffed by people who have little or no training in hospitality. At best the breakfast was disappointing, the hot food in the buffet was edible, but the presentation and other items sadly lacking.

We enjoyed the location and charm. However, several basic repairs need to be taken care of and housekeeping is missing details. The bathroom vent in our room was heavily coated in dust. Quality of stay is reflected in the price.

Hotel old and in need of updating as paint was flaking off walls and ceilings plus windows did not open in bedroom as they had rusty screws driven through them to keep them shut, the food was basic had hamburger and chips one night and that was it just basic burger on a roll with chips no salad another night I had scampi it came with scampi in a basket with shredded lettuce no chips or peas that you get anywhere else I have ordered it do nit think we will be back to this hotel

This hotel was in an amazing location. The view was INCREDIBLE. It is a very old property but they do a good job of trying to keep it clean, maintained and updated. It wasn’t the Ritz Carlton by any means, but it was good enough for what we needed. Close to an AMAZING golf course (walking distance) which also had a very challenging par 3 course. The staff were very helpful and we would stay here again. Food was just ok but breakfast was included in our stay so it was fine.

It’s an old hotel with modern upgrades so very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and the food was good. The scenery is fantastic. We would happily stay there again.

Hotel is a bit dated and could do with a freshen up but for what you pay, I can’t complain. The staff were fantastic, especially the young man in the restaurant on Saturday night, a credit to the hotel. Food was also first class.

This is an old property in need of external upgrade and maintenance. Not like the photos. Great location and lovely Seaview. Easy walk down to Harbour and town. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Room was very hot in evening. Windows open and fan on. Bathroom needs a good bleach clean. Breakfast room has a nice view, selection of foods poor. Fruit disgusting. Hot food ok. Nothing cooked to order. Pastries burnt. Not good value for money.
