Although the hotel is older, the beautiful view and the excellent restaurant and the pool and whirlpool make it well worthwhile to stay here. And the location is perfect also. When we got there, we asked for a room with a view of the lake and they gave us one. Very nice staff.

Location was good. Liked the shower and the soap/shampoo dispenser. Door key cards were not working well but I think it was more of a problem with the door control.

Our room wasn’t that clean. Trash was under a bed. A tiny bit of black mold/mildew surrounded the bath faucet. The wallpaper in the bathroom should have been wiped down cleaner. We had to wait an extra hour before we could check-in because our room wasn’t “clean” yet. The staff were friendly to get us a key to use the swimming pool, hot tub & sauna right away though. The location of the hotel was great. The swimming pool area was also great. The carpet in the hotel hallways was old and should be replaced. The bottom of the exterior should be upgraded too. Wood siding after years of ice and snow (in northern Wisconsin) showed a little wear and tear.

The room was excellent, very clean and spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly. Quaint little location. The price was affordable. Only issue we had was our keys kept being de-programmed and would not open the door. We had to go to front desk and get them reprogrammed twice for our room. However, that issue was minor and we will DEFINITELY stay again next time we are in the Superior area.

We stayed 2 nights for an event on the island so the location was perfect for us. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a mini fridge, which was a nice bonus. We did have some issues with our room keys working properly and staff was very helpful in submitting the needed maintenance request. Staff throughout the place was consistently helpful and friendly. Hallway carpeting and some room furniture is older, and could use a refresh. The fitness center is very small with limited equipment, but the pool, sauna and hot tub were lovely after a busy day. The walleye dinner was delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our stayed and will probably stay here again next year. Can't beat the location!
