Nice getaway!!
The house was beautiful with big windows facing the mountain. It was fun watching the snow fall and elk from the living room windows. Reliable WIFI, plenty of games and a smart TV to keep everyone busy. After reading other reviews I was concerned about the driveway in the snow but we didn’t have any problems getting in and out during the week. The property manager even reached out to us about the weather and to warn us of the driveway on our way there which was nice. It was a bummer the garbage disposal didn’t work during our stay and there were dead flies inside the house. Those things happen though. We still had a great time and love visiting the enchanted circle. We’ll be back!!

It was a perfect location! Far enough out of town to be quiet but not a terrible drive to town. Coffee maker didn’t work but that was quickly replaced. We would definitely rent again

Could be great with a little upkeep
Rented the house for our tenth anniversary weekend because my wife wanted a location with a hot tub. Unfortunately that one feature was the worst part of the property. The water was off color and you could see dirt in the seats/bottom of the hot tub. Dead bugs, bulbs burned out, and dead batteries in remotes for the ceiling fans were other minor issues

Flies, Filthy Hot Tub, and Lots of Labor
When we arrived, there was no way to access the property since the drive had 6”+ of snow. The neighbors were tired of having to help vacationers out but were nice enough to help shovel snow so we could park between their property & the rental. We trekked up the rest of the way, losing a beloved stuffed animal to the snow, & finally got inside. We discovered the floor behind the couches & window sill littered with dead flies, the hot tub was brown & had a beer can floating in it, & the fireplace in the living room hadn’t been cleaned out. We realized a few days in that the flue had been left open the whole time, which explained why the place was so cold. My kids & husband are allergic to cats and dust, which they felt the allergens every time the heat fired up out of the vents, & we had to put sheets on the couches b/c my daughter started breaking out w/hives/eczema flared up after sitting on them. That’s our fault though, knowing it was pet friendly. We were snowed in Wednesday & lost out on our skiing that day, meaning lift tickets & rentals, b/c property management couldn’t get anyone out to clear the drive. We worked for a long time to clear the drive, & finally got out Thurs. afternoon. My husband then bought de-icer since the bucket provided was empty. We left that for the next guest. No dumpster location noted so trash was double bagged & left in kitchen. No help or response from property mgmt at all except small refund for hot tub and being told they know about flies

Perfect ski retreat!
Met and exceeded our expectations. Had all the comforts of home with an amazing Mountain View. The design and layout are just what you're looking for in a ski retreat. Also, only about 15 minutes to the Angel Fire Ski resort. My daughter and I were the last in the hot tub and we saw a shooting star in that amazing NM night sky. It was truly a spectacular stay for us. Thank you!

Fantastic stay
Great place to stay! The house was the perfect size for our family (two adults and two kids). It has all the things you may need and more. A lot of board games and great internet speed. The entrance is a little steep so it can be challenging during snowy days. It is paved so no problem most of the time. The host communication is excellent! Stop looking and book this now. You will not regret it!

Beautiful scenery
We enjoyed our stay. Since it was Autumn, we were lucky enough to stay during peak Fall color change and the surrounding land scape was gorgeous. The house was comfortable and clean. There was an issue with the flies in the house, but the owners were wonderful to work with. They did try to rectify the problem as soon as they could. The exterminators just could not come right away. However, the owners made did try to make everything right by us. We would stay in this VRBO again because these things can happen, and the owners wanted to make things right. We have stayed in many VRBO places and not all want to help. Some could care less once they get your money. The place was well stocked with supplies. We used the trail into the National Forest everyday of our stay. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable. The deck offered a nice location for a glass of wine. We even became acquainted with the next-door neighbors, (they are pottery artist). We spent time touring their studio and, of course, buying some beautiful items. No need to go into Taos to buy high end pottery. We would love to come back again.

We had a great time during our stay, everything was perfect!! So relaxing, we cooked outside every night, and then enjoyed quite evening watching one of the many movies that was provided. We saw an Elk our last morning there and enjoyed the birds that would come and eat out of the feeder everyday. We will be back and stay here again!!!!!

Beautiful Views in Angel Fire
Conveniently located to Taos and Angel Fire, this place is great. Perfect for a family of 3-5. Well appointed and maintained. While there are no trails on the property, we enjoyed some nice exploring up the hill behind the house. Great for those seeking a little peace and quiet. When we come back, this is where we will stay! Thank you for a fun week!!

Great location, beautiful views, large & comfortable home.
We enjoyed staying here very much and felt right at home immediately. The views were incredible any time day or night. We enjoyed being outside of town, because it's a beautiful drive into Taos and we prefer the quiet of the mountains. The owner was easy to contact and very nice to work with.

Perfect place to get away!
We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the house so much, it was up in the woods and we could watch Elk in the afternoons through the large glass windows on the front. It was perfect for us, we hiked each day or went to Taos or Santa Fe but we would come back and relax each evening and grill steaks and enjoy the quietness. I would recommend this cabin to anyone and we are hoping to come back next year and make it a yearly vacation! We would give it 5 Stars! The owner Nathan was wonderful! Thank you so much for letting us enjoy, Debbie, Richard and Gail

Perfect place to unwind and refresh
Thank you to Nathan for his hospitality and for working with me on my long term get away! This place is perfect for peace and quiet, stargazing and just being away from it all. Comfortable and all the things you need to just be there are provided in this place. Nathan was pleasant and provided everything I needed. The "next door" neighbors at Enchanted Circle Pottery are also wonderful, pleasant and kind people and were graciously helpful in getting me acquainted with the area. Thanks to all.

The perfect place
This was perfectly situated between all the places we wanted to visit. Far enough from town for the peace, quite and privacy we were looking for, yet close enough to grab dinner or groceries without much fuss. All the comforts of home, including our pup. He enjoyed running up the hill and around the house while we relaxed on the deck.

Beautiful and Clean!!!
The owners are GREAT and very HELPFUL. This house is more BEAUTIFUL than the pictures show. It was very clean and has everything you need for your stay. If we ever come back to Taos we will definitely be staying at this location. We really enjoyed exploring the mountain behind us and getting to see animals in their natural habitat. The neighbors next door are wonderful and made us feel really welcomed. We highly recommend this house!!

Beautiful views!
This place was perfect for us; my husband and I love to stay in places that have beautiful views, and this place did not disappoint. Taos was a great place for our 1 year anniversary, and all surrounding towns were quick and accessible! The shower in the main bathroom did clog pretty often, but would drain before the next shower was taken, so not a big deal at all. overall we loved the place and would no doubt spend another trip here!

Excellent Vacation Home
We enjoyed every bit of this vacation home. Perfectly situated between Angel Fire and Taos, away from any hustle and bustle but not too far away from restaurants and entertainment. Wildlife everywhere, we loved watching the prairie dogs and hummingbirds, as well as a few elk grazing in the valley across from the property. We had a blast hiking the mountain trail right behind the house and the neighbors at Enchanted Circle Pottery are amazing people with a beautiful studio and gallery. The house is warm and cozy and stocked full of entertaining things to do for everyone including our younger children. The view of the mountains and valley is amazing to see out of the big front windows or off of the deck. Cell service for us was an absolute no go, having wifi here helped alot with that, but also getting "un-plugged" is not always a bad thing in todays world. Will definitely recommend to others and will hopefully come back for another stay!

Peaceful and serene!
We had a wonderful experience on our vacation. The house was so very clean, and homey. It was perfect for the 4 of us. We cooked most of the time and we had everything we needed. All we brought was food. We had a fire every night, watched movies, and hung out with good friends. We heard Elk every morning and evening! That was AWESOME!! The deck was wonderful. We will be back! Thank you Nathan, for sharing your beautiful home:)

Great for Family
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well-maintained. I appreciated the quality of the bath and bed linens - definitely not the bare minimum saved for renters. We enjoyed the views. Had a great time hiking up the mountain behind the house. Large, oversized bedrooms. Very comfortable living area. Was a fabulous weekend getaway with our two small children.

Fulfilled our needs but there a couple of points to note
The property met our needs for the time we were there having sufficient room and facilities to make it comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook (as a reasonable drive is needed to reach restaurants). The washer and dryer are also convenient to have. Everything was clean and there were some kitchen essentials in stock. There is plenty of wild life to view from birds (worth filling up the feeder with a sugar solution to watch humming birds) to various sized mammals including what we assume were wolves howling during the night! On clear nights it is worth stargazing as there is little light pollution and you can see so much more than when near a city. Though situated right next to a road the traffic noise isn’t particularly intrusive. The location of the property on the Enchanted Circle means that there places to see within a relatively short distance – Eagle Nest is worth a visit as the lake has a lot of wildlife viewing opportunities. Our enquiry was answered quickly and the booking process was completed without any problems. There are a couple of negative things that should be considered though. Suffering from arthritis in my knees means that steps prove difficult to use and there are about 25 needed to climb to enter the building. When also carrying luggage this proved uncomfortable and difficult. Had the property description included this we probably wouldn’t have chosen this location. The other thing is the driveway - we struggled a couple of times to get up the slope in a Jeep and I suspect some cars may not be able to make it up to the property. Something to bear in mind. We arrived late on a Friday and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the property over the weekend. However, first thing on Monday morning we were awoken by a caterpillar-tracked digger passing by the property missing the stairs, decking and our car by literally only inches. The work was initially just by the decking area though they did gradually move further away. For both Monday and Tuesday there was a lot of work noise and workmen doing what workmen do. That made it impossible to use the decking or outside areas for relaxing. Hopefully that construction work shouldn’t be ongoing for too long.

Northern New Mexico
The cabin is in a very good location for any Enchanted Circle activity you might want to enjoy; hiking, chair lifts, the shops of Taos. The view from the decks is also very nice for bird watching and star gazing if you don't mind road noise; the cabin sits about 30 feet from the highway. Access to the cabin is challenging with a very steep, unpaved and difficult to maneuver driveway. If you don't have a high-clearance vehicle or 4-wheel drive, good luck. Also, there are 24 steps from driveway to doorway which made loading and unloading our Jeep Cherokee a chore. There are a lot of DVDs in the cabin to choose from and watch. However, there is no TV reception (no cable or antenna), no cell phone service, and the internet was on-again, mostly off-again. Finally, the cabin was not cleaned when we arrived for our week-long stay. There were used coffee grinds in the coffee maker, opened containers in the refrigerator to include the remains of “carry out” foods, and a guest room toilet bowl too dirty for words. We also used a plunger to unstop the quest shower drain, but could do little to prevent ankle deep water at the end of a long shower in either bathroom.
