Good value hotel, rooms a little dated but clean. Free parking and good sized car park. A few minutes walk to some other bars and restaurants. A great little village with coffee bars, supermarket etc. A great stopover for manchester airport. Definitely worth a visit.

A lovely hotel, staff were very accommodating. Hotel was clean and will be coming back. Close location to all the bars, the bar in the hotel was also very nice and breakfast in the morning was lovely.

I've stayed at the property several times whilst attending a work training event. On a number of occasions I have been allocated a room on the opposite side of the hotel from the rest of my colleagues. When I queried this at check in, I was advised there were no other rooms available. What I also find disappointing is that one of my colleagues consistently appears to receive room upgrades, yet whenever I have politely asked, I am told that nothing is available. During my most recent stay, after reaching down to my bag at reception, I stood up and noticed the receptionist laughing with a colleague whilst looking in my direction. Whether intentional or not, it came across as unprofessional and uncomfortable. I have another work training session at the beginning of June and, although the Park Royal would have been the most convenient option, I have chosen to stay elsewhere instead. If staff are going to mock or laugh at guests, I would at least expect it not to happen within view of the check in desk. Very disappointing and not the level of professionalism I would expect. As a result, I will not be staying at the hotel again in future.

bar had a good selection but closed quite early for me

The House is fantastic. Love the character of the ponies and little pond. Joanne was a delight.
