"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. "I rang to ask if I could collect my key a couple of hours before check in, which the very friendly Helen assured me I could. When I arrived not only was I able to actually check in at the earlier time, I’d also been upgraded to a lovely quiet double room . Staff couldn’t have been nicer. I was also told I could leave my car in the parking for the day. I only wish they had had room for another night, but they were full. Would definitely stay here again"

"Highly recommended this hotel the room was clean and comfortable, but I would say if you have issues with stairs request a lower floor. The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. We had dinner at the hotel, great food and plentiful, the same with breakfast. The bar was good as well, old and had character. Great stay. Will definitely stay again."

"The hotel was a great place to stay as I had a meeting to attend in Cambridge and my wife and I wanted to explore the city a lttle too. The swimming pool, although not that large was lovely and we made good use of it. There was a problem with the TV in the room but that got sorted quickly. Breakfast was great."

"Friendly and attentive hosts but not overwhelming. Peaceful and beautiful garden for the accommodation though the location itself is not a very lovely place but is easy for travel. The pod has all that’s needed for a comfortable short stay and the breakfast/ snack basket was generous. Had a bit of difficulty regulating shower temperature but other than that a peaceful and really enjoyable stay"
