It made a refreshing change to the travel lodge or premiere Inn. It was really reasonably priced and everything was clean, comfortable and well presented. We were pleasantly surprised to have a lodge to ourselves and the rooms were air conditioned (more than welcome in the heatwave). Lovely touches such as an a Nespresso coffee machine, packets of biscuits and bottles of water. Breakfast was really nice too. Very clean en-suite shower room too. We also enjoyed all the historical photos in the hotel and learning a little about the history of the Estate. Unfortunately we thought our room was rather dark with its green painted walls and ceiling. The building is lovely and my room was clean, welcoming and very comfortable. I use hotels quite often and this is my top stay to date.
