“This is everything you could want from a farm stay. Friendly, healthy animals and a property that has obviously been thoughtfully cultivated over the years. Our kids LOVED it. Lisa is a great host and the house has everything you could think of. Quiet and peaceful yet convenient to West Jefferson, and the New River and many other parks. We will definitely be back!!.”

“The house is very nice and well supplied with everything we needed: beautiful porch, lots of amenities, altogether very comfortable! 5 min. from the General Store and less than 10 from the state park entrance. It was a perfect base for day hikes. The host was attentive but not intrusive.”

“My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean and neat and the process of checking in and out was easy-peasy. I rated it four stars instead of five because it is remote, so unless you're sticking to cycling or activities on the nearby South Fork of the New River, you'll be driving a bit to get anywhere. Although I'm a lifelong resident of NC, I'm always discovering new places to visit, and this was a great one. I would definitely stay there again when I have more time to explore...

“As soon as you pull in you are greeted by a beautiful willow tree. The property is just amazing, from the trout stream to the house. Oh my, the house, it is picturesque, it should be featured in a magazine. It is the cleanest vacation rental house we have stayed in. A big plus, just a short drive to Watauga lake. The host, Gary, is super friendly. We can’t wait to come back!”
