"My brother and l, with our families, stayed here for the 2024 eclipse. It was a great place to hang out: big kitchen, lots of beds, pool, big yard on the lake. One thing to note is that the bunk room is slightly detached (a converted garage) but our kids are old enough that wasn't a problem."

"Check in was very easy. We got into the home with no trouble. The house is well off the main roads and is right by an inlet of the lake. The home was exceptionally clean and cared for. I was hoping to go kayaking and they have two kayaks and paddles. Unfortunately the dock was too high my comfort to try and get on the kayak without falling into the water so I opted to not go out. Other than than this home was exactly what our group needed. We had three adults and a three year old boy and we all had fun. The town is pretty quiet but that is what we wanted."

"This place is amazing! The furnishings are classy, neat, and complete. All of our needs were met. It was fun to visit family on the patio as well as inside. The lake, even on the weekend, wasn’t very busy with boats. We enjoyed watching the eclipse from here."

"Issues start immediately after check in. I’ve stayed at other properties where we were the first renters but this home in my opinion should have not been made available. It’s like we were testing everything for the owner like a trial run to see what worked and what didn’t work. Not fun with kids. We arrived and immediately noticed the refrigerator was not working, then we go to cook and next realized the vent was not operable. Some carpets show urine stains the master bedroom carpet had pieces just glued on. A newly installed patio sliding door which was installed incorrectly made it a pain opening and closing decided to stop using it and just go out back thru the garage. Talk about an inconvenience. Ceiling fans some worked some didn’t. Plumbing issues with the kitchen sink leaking profusely throughout our entire stay puddling the kitchen floor several times. Huge nuisance with Bugs and flys everywhere in the house since we were told by owner to leave doors open while we cook to help with smoke and venting. We then after a day or so go to wash clothes and realize the washer and dryer are not connected I call the owner to let him know I’ll be plugging them in to wash at that time he makes us aware that the washer does not work. Even though he listed it on VRBO website as an amenity. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT made out Spring Break family trip forgettable!"
