Decent location but that is about it. The room was could have done with some repairs, the heated towel rail impeded the toilet and the shower pressure was rubbish.

I was not expecting much as it was a bargain basement price . Hotel is dated and looks tired . The room was clean , bathroom spotless and the bed was really comfy . Staff were extremely helpful . Definitely recommend for a tight budget was perfect

The Ardoe House Hotel is undoubtably a beautiful building & set in spectacular surroundings. We have visited the hotel periodically over many decades & under various ownerships. In our view the standards have declined over that period & the food quality has also suffered accordingly. I understand the current trend of advertising establishments as dog friendly due to the possibility of earning additional revenue, however I do object to the presence of dog/s in the dining areas when food is being served - even tethered.
