There were passive aggressive p-touch label notes EVERYWHERE on the property! We get it, you've had terrible guests in the past, but oh my god? Get a grip? The carpet in our family suite unit was so filthy that we had to wear our socks or sandals indoors at all times. The loveseat also had a FOUL odor upon arrival, but it was 4th of July weekend and everywhere else in Traverse City was going to be sold out so there was no sense in complaining, because where the heck else are we going to go?
The humidity inside our unit was also so bad that our doors were too swollen to shut. Both bedroom doors, and the bathroom door. I ALSO want to point out that the kitchenettes are on the smaller side, which is fine, so there is no dishwasher. You've got to hand wash your dishes. However, there is no garbage disposal in the sink, and I don't think previous guests took note of that because our kitchen sink drained VERY slowly and also had an odor any time we used it.
The front desk staff were nice enough and were friendly/helpful during all my interactions with them, but why does the front office close at 4pm! It's a hotel! I saw SO many frustrated late arrival guests that couldn't get in touch with the property after hours.
I understand the summers are busy but please, shampoo your carpets and upholstered furniture. There were certainly enough passive aggressive notes to prevent me from returning, but the filthy carpet and couch truly sealed the deal. Yuck.
