"The Historic Wailuku Inn is beautiful. Rooms were amazing and location was perfect for exploring the whole island. Waihee Ridge Hike and Iao valley are super close, Paia / Haleakala / Kula / Kihei / Maalaea / are all less the 35-minute drive. Ramu and his team were great and made us feel super welcome. Do yourself a favor and stay here, avoid the resorts and all of their trappings (expensive food / expensive parking / expensive rooms), and explore every part of the island. Go local...

"We enjoyed the one night stay we had at the Wailuku Inn. The room was clean and as advertised and the bed was very comfortable which was lovely after a long day of flights! We did a quick walk around the garden in the morning before we left and found it lovely and peaceful! Check out was a bit on the early side, but we found this to be the case at several hotels on Maui, and the parking was a bit tricky but we figured it out (we arrived after dark and it was a bit hard to see the signage). "Excellent suite! They even had stuff for us to borrow free of charge like beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, etc. I am not sure if every unit has an air conditioner but ours did. Certainly a nice area and she had a couple patios for guests to utilize."
