“ Clean and new place. The bed was comfy, but the best was the healthy breakfast! I appreciated the effort Linda did to provide a good meal start to the day. It was quiet (I had no problem with the frogs and one distant rooster.) ”

“Carl and Elma were fantastic hosts ... again, having stayed here in same room 3 years earlier. The three rooms on street level where you park with a common lobby room, with a day room for those who need to stow stuff on a checkout day, There is a great breakfast and coffee on the upper floor large balcony overlooking a naturalized area with wild pigs, cows, chickens, tree frogs, birds, and a wonderful view of the ocean. It is a unique place to stay in Hawaii and in an area that we find most……

“Pros: This is our first time staying at a lodge like this, so close to nature, just like camping. You will hear coqui frog whole night & seeing them jumping next to your door step. Animals free roaming, peacocks, ducks, chicken. Kids loved it. Cons: There is barely any light at night in the Property…so if you come back late, it’s a bit challenging to find your cabin.”

“The place was a great stay for going up to the national park. They also had quite a nice gesture of providing snacks, fruit, and bread which came in handy with our hikes up on the mountain. We definitely would stay again!”
