"I booked partially for the pool. It looked like a run down cave. The entire pool room was depressing. Immediately when you walk in to the hotel, there's a heavy air freshener. It is trying to cover up a stench I was never able to find, but it smelled terrible in our room. I had to sleep with the windows open. Not easy in LA. Rooms weren't clean. Socks were found under the bed at check in that weren't ours. Made me question the overall cleanliness. Between that and the airfreshener, I doubt there's much clean vs covered up. Carpet in stairwell was heavily stained.I also didn't appreciate being charged $25 for an early check in. I've never had a hotel charge for that. If the room was ready, great, if not, we wait. They also charged to store luggage, another new one for me. We opted to pay for early access. Was more of a motel vibe and experience than a hotel. I will never stay here again. "

"Our recent stay was unpleasant to say the least. Upon checking in, the man at the counter was unfriendly. The room had an odor, the furniture had not been cleaned well and the wifi didn't work the entire time. Upon notifying staff that the wifi wasn't working, we were told "sorry, we've never had a problem with that room before". Reviews for this hotel were mixed. Save your money, and stay somewhere else."

"Understaffed and unprepared for arriving guest. Tried to check in early at 3:50. Was told by front desk that check in was not until 4 and to come back after 4. Came back at 4:05, and was told the room well be ready in 15 minutes. Came back at 4:35, and the room was still not ready, was told to wait a few more minutes. At 5 I was getting tired of the run around. Finally got our room at 5:10 with no apologie or comp for our time. Could have paid less somewhere else for that kind of service. Never staying at the Marriott again. "

"Great experience. Just one front desk guy was a jerk but the rest of the staff was amazing. Autumn the manager customer service outstanding. The room was great the roof top5 stars. Everything was walking distance. I’ll stay there again."
