Checking in was difficult due to an incorrect code but we had assistance from other residents which helped enormously. Also there’s no wriggle room with code as we established it would not open even 5 minutes before check in time, despite being ready. "The hotel was beautifully decorated and had a very authentic feel. The staff were lovely, so polite and welcoming, willing to answer any questions and help you when needed. It was located in the centre of Bakewell near all the shops and bus stops. It was the perfect place to stay while in Bakewell."

"This used to mecure property and has recently been taken over don’t expect Mecure standards Breakfast was ok very slow on refilling hot choice so much so I gave up waiting for eggs and mushrooms. Food was barely warm such a shame as the breakfast used to be the highlight. Rooms are comfy with tea and coffee facilities parking hit and miss do you research? We found a car park about five minutes walk away £5.60 for 24 hours. One thing that this hotel has is an excellent location so yes we would use it again but not booking breakfast we go out."
