Skamania lodge is magical. Between the beautiful views, the serene grounds, the friendly and helpful staff, great food and cozy rooms, you can't go wrong here. We've stayed several times and we've never had a single complaint. We just love it here, it's a must do if you are visiting the Columbia River gorge.

Parking was tight in the lot and not enough spaces for all of the rooms. No street parking anywhere near the building. The room and bedding were clean but rundown. The building had a fresh coat of paint that didn't hide the old and outdated nature of the structure well. No breakfast on site. Front office staff friendly but not overly concerned about the welfare of the customers. The grounds were dirty, rundown and unkept with an old toilet sitting in plain sight by the building. There was trash and homeless bedding on the property in plain view from our river view balcony which was a real turnoff. Overtly impaired homeless people were wandering the grounds at night raising safety concerns for us customers especially with hotel staff leaving the office and grounds unattended after 10pm. This place is a bargain basement hotel at a nice hotel rate. I'll stay at a better location next time for sure.

Super convenient for our one night stay. I was traveling with a friend for an event at the event center and this hotel was about as convenient as it gets! We appreciated having our own rooms. The suite was clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. And the property was quiet. The price was unbeatable for the amenities! I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
