"We had a wonderful stay in Penasco. The cottage is cute, cozy, and has everything you need for a visit of any length. The kitchen is well stocked as are the bathrooms and laundry. Internet is fast if you need to do some work or school. Easy drive to Sipapu and hiking trails; Santa Fe and other attractions are about an hour or so away, but the drive is very scenic. Highly recommended!"

"It’s a pretty isolated property. Lots of peace and serenity. The kids did dogs and s’mores after building a campfire. If you have a Tesla this probably isn’t the best place. Taos does not have a supercharger and the closest one is in Sante Fe. Actually I would stay away from Taos all together if you have a Tesla. "We are truly grateful we decided to spend a few days in Española at this amazing, eclectic house. The home is filled with so many vintage items we were spying new pieces each day. The bed we used was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was clean, well lit and had good toilet paper - lol - one of my pet peeves. Our hostess, Kathryn, was a delight. "A group of four 60+ aged friends stayed for a week in early May. The cabin is at the end of a small county road and is beautifully appointed and decorated. It has convenient outdoor sitting areas in several locations. One bedroom is upstairs, and uneven flooring and step-ups can be challenging for mobility impaired persons. "This property was exactly what we were looking for - scenic, quiet, and restful. We were able to disconnect for a couple of days and relax with a good book and coffee/hot chocolate. It was chilly but there was plenty of firewood and blankets to keep warm, along with the fireplace and gas heaters. "The house is in a very poor location, we didn’t have any issues but the whole town looked very poor. No restaurants nearby or grocery stores (there is a family dollar) so come prepared to cook all your meals, which we did thankfully so all was good. The home was nice and clean. We had a few issues with the water but it was remedied quickly. Over all it was a great trip and it accommodated our family of 11 and one infant just fine.
