“Positives: Staff were very friendly, curious, and polite. The room was clean. We didn't use the pool or the gym. Breakfast buffet was OK but was often just luke warm.A microwave was available to re heat things. If you like really strong coffee this is the place for you it's always hot and ready along with tea. Negatives: Our room was on the Railroad side of the building and the ice machine was just opposite our door. Having the Choo Choo run by all day and night was a royal pain. ……

“Rooms were clean, nice decor and spacious. Breakfast had different option each day. Plenty of parking in back and easy access to building. Just one small downside was no ice machines. Clumped ice cubes in small bags were available in freezer.”

“Very disappointed in the state of the room. Numerous outlets were not working. The ceiling in the bathroom is all rusted. We assumed it was because the bathroom fan was not working. We tried to see if we could sign in Early, but there was no one at the desk. So we called the front desk & there was no answer. A person told us they were cleaning the rooms. They hadn’t even brought the phone with them.”

“Linens and towels were clean and adequate. There was a mini coffee maker with a packet of coffee grounds provided. It made excellent coffee. I wish there had been more cups provided. The air conditioner was noisy- - I’m glad I had brought ear plugs! The room had little extra space, things were tight. The bathroom was cramped. I’m glad I am a small person, otherwise I might have had trouble sitting on the toilet as it was in a corner and when sitting there my knees were under the sink.”

“Eat at the restaurant at the hotel. It was the best. I’ll never have better north woods biscuits and gravy. Chicken tenders, burgers, fries, ribs, chicken parm were also all so good. It was great.”
