"My son and I spent Christmas at Kathi's Captain’s Quarters near Helena, and it was unforgettable. The view alone is worth the trip—this home isn’t just near the lake, it is on the lake. Waking up to sunrise over the water while sitting in the hot tub felt like a gift in itself.The cabin was spotless and stocked far beyond what we expected. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the kitchen supplies to the little conveniences that made our stay effortless. Kathi even decorated for Christmas, which made the space feel warm, festive, and welcoming the moment we walked in.The location is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. We loved relaxing by the fireplace, and we were delighted when deer wandered right up to the door. It felt like stepping into a winter postcard.Kathi was an exceptional host—responsive, kind, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. She even watched our little dog, Mazy, so we could explore the area without worry. That level of care is rare and so appreciated.We will absolutely be returning again and again. The Captain’s Quarters has become one of our favorite places, and we can’t wait for our next stay."

Sitting by the fire pit in the evenings, listening to the trout creek, and waking up to the sights and sounds of the farm animals made the whole experience feel so unique and peaceful. Being on a horse farm added such a special charm, and we really enjoyed the connection to nature all around us. The hosts were amazing—warm, responsive, and made everything simple from check-in to check-out. If you’re looking for a medium-sized cabin surrounded by natural beauty and the charm of a working farm, this is the perfect getaway. Highly recommend!"
