Another negative is upto now I have not received my deposit back. Surely you should have a system that works for returning deposits back. "I stayed at the Oxford Belfry for two nights. I felt immediately that the rating was too high for this property overall. Check in was smooth and staff are friendly and helpful. The room was a generous size, ours looked out over the garden, which were bushes, but still pleasant - some room overlooked the car park. Breakfast was a self service buffet. It was plentiful and varied. The bar experience was problematic. I ordered a non alcohol mojito and when I got it, it was missing several ingredients. The meal special, which came with a glass of wine, arrived without wine. The staff are young, maybe less experienced, but the manager arrived and set everything straight. I would recommend the handmade pizzas, even at nearly £20 for a pizza fit for one. The pool and spa were acceptable but not exceptional. The ice machine didn’t work, the shower by the sauna was a bit broken. Some of the pool tiles were missing too. The spa is featured in the hotel name and expected more!"
