"A stream runs thru the property… so lovely. Parking is crowded but sufficient. We did not need the heater but there were no instructions for how to operate it. I found out by accident there is parking in the rear. Knowing that in advance would have prevented my companion, who uses a cane, from walking up the stairs. The room was clean but there is some discoloration (rust?) in the tub surround. We had a bad experience with the coffee machine- it only worked for the 12 cup setting& the cup will not hold 12 oz so hot coffee spilled everywhere. No one got burned thankfully."

"we enjoyed the lodging and the stay! i should have said something at checkin about stairs but we made it work! we were happy with the facility and only thing i might change was moving the bed one foot from the window to allow easier entry and exit to that side."

"I was somewhat concerned there was no onsite front desk/staff available but this proved to be a non-issue. The key code was expected to arrive via email the day before our arrival but was sent the day after the reservation was made which was 5 days before arrival I believe it was. They did follow-up with 2 emails after we received the key code with contact information to use if the code had not been received. Our room was very clean, in-room coffee was available, the bed was comfortable, the price was well worth it. It appeared our room was recently completely remodeled. Other rooms I had a glimpse into also appeared to have been remodeled. A microwave and fridge and a few other basics were provided. We weren't looking for a $180+/night room with all the extras. We like to visit local eating establishments so a free breakfast was not a requirement. We chose Walden because it's location worked well for us due to the drive time from our home and this was a good geographic location to continue our 5 day weekend in Colorado from. We wanted a place to overnight that had a clean room, clean bath/shower, and clean and comfortable bed. That's exactly what they provided. We hope to be staying here on our future trips through the area."

"This hotel is a wonderful find. Our first time here and truly impressive. From the outside it's got that old town motel look but on the inside it's modern and comfortable! Check in was easy and front desk staff amazing! Very clean, large room. King bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was roomy and had the BEST water pressure we've ever experienced anywhere! Truly fantastic! Nice quality amenities. Plenty of parking, most in front of your room. Our TV wasn't connecting and front desk agent came right away to resolve the issue. We travel a lot and this place was wonderful! Impressive and well maintained. Now it's our first choice when staying in Steamboat! We will definitely return. Highly recommended!!"

"The room was clean ok. We had three light bulbs out so very dark. Our curtains barely hung on the rod. A small garbage can only. Furniture was broken I’d say we were in the less updated"
