"Great stay excellent host very helpful. Lovely breakfast and great location right on the Hadrian’s wall trail 5 minutes walk away. Peaceful quiet location on a working farm."

"Superb breakfast and very comfortable room"

"We had a lovely stay at the Old Schoolhouse. Our room and bathroom were spacious. Our hosts had homemade treats for us each day (an oatmeal raisin cookie our first day and a piece of spice cake the next). Our breakfast was at a large table with the other guests. We loved talking to them, several of whom were walking the length of Hadrian's wall. The breakfast itself was delicious and generous. We would absolutely stay here again."

"Quirky place to stay! Lovely big room for our family of four, in peaceful surroundings next to a ruined castle and 10 minutes from Hadrians Wall! Friendly staff and nice home cooked food for dinner and breakfast!"

"Great place great rooms great staff, breakfast choice also very good"

"A very warm and genuine welcome on arrival. The room was perfectly adequate for my needs, nice double bed with views over the rooftops of the historic town centre and over to the moors. Delicious cooked-to-order breakfast."

"The setting was lovely n tranquil but dirty windows obscured maybe due to it becoming winter, lovely walks, if you didn't want to eat in it was a nice lil hamlet to explore."

"Hosts were friendly and very accommodating at getting some extra bits when requested. Beautiful location. Would happily stay there again."
