“Great overnight stay. Superior rooms are modern and spotless well worth the extra. Nice traditional pub food served in the bar. Owner was lovely and extremely helpful. Road is quite busy but noise is minimal and didn't keep us awake. Would recommend”

“The staff are very helpful and friendly. The food and beer is good and great value. Parking is a bit tight, so arrive early if you are checking in! If you want to eat, make sure you reserve a table. We found out the hard way on Saturday lunchtime that you can't always get a meal, even if you are a resident. Other than that, it's a good place to stay. It's quiet at night due to the location and the fact that the bar isn't open until late.”

“Everything was fine, the room quiet. well-ecorated, clean and warm and there were nice extras - orange juice and porridge oats and plenty of tea and coffee.However the en suite shower room was a tight fit for my husband who is 6'4" so we would check if there was a larger en suite another time.”
