Great location to explore the area. The Inn is tastefully and interestingly decorated with lots of antiques. Each room is different and has its own name. To our surprise, Waterloo is an historic town, particularly regarding Women’ rights and abolition. The Gridley Inn is located within the blocks of historic Waterloo. We were totally charmed by this historic home which was built about 1848\. It has some original furnishings and on the walls, documents and pictures tell of its first inhabitants who founded a Music School with a theater, much appreciated by my husband, a classical composer. Near Seneca Falls. It is a very short walk to downtown. We arrived early but we were welcomed and able to move to our room. Parking is available. The Statesman room was very comfortable. We also met a young resident artist, Catherine who also works at the Inn. A very comfortable front porch and living room. Breakfast was fresh and home made.
