This was a great location for our family as we enjoyed hiking in the Pisgah National Forest. We also enjoyed the town of Waynesville. We would highly recommend this cozy cabin.

Home was fine but very disappointed with the property management company, Vacasa!!
Upon our evening arrival, there were no security/motion lights to eliminate the door/entry area. We had to use our cell phone lights. But more disappointing was the fact that the door lock was broken and we were unable to get into the home. I called Vacasa and they said they would send an "immediate work order to the local staff". Not only did they never fix the lock, but I never received a call with any update. It was apparent to me that the local staff knew of this issue prior to our arrival because we later found the sliding glass door unlocked. This door would have only been unlocked because it was the only way to exit the home and it could not be locked from the outside. FOR OUR ENTIRE STAY AT THE HOME, THE SLIDING DOOR NEEDED TO BE UNLOCKED EXPOSING THE HOME TO OUR PERSONAL BELONINGS/VALUABLES!! Also, there was only one 9"fry pan. We had plans of cooking most of our meals at the home, but because there were not enough fry pans, we ended up spending more money by having to go out to eat. Upon checking out, I made one final call to Vacasa to share my disappointment with the agent who said she would contact the "local staff" and get back in touch with me. Much like my initial call, I have not received a call or email back from Vacasa. My advice to you - Do not rent a home that is managed by Vacasa.

Quiet
We had a nice visit with our family in this cabin. It was a beautiful drive up to the place from the main road. It was peaceful and relaxing setting. The cabin was nice but definitely used regularly. The carpet had been patched in places and other spots were worn. The kitchen was greasy as almost every cupboard and cabinet door was dirty. We had to wash the dishes and silverware before eating so not sure how effective the dishwasher is. The gas fireplace want functioning when we were there. We had trouble with the Roku but found it was laying in the floor so repositioned it. Bring your own laundry detergent of you would like to have the option to wash clothes. It was relaxing to sit on the porch and eat while listening to the birds. The views of the mountains were decent as the leaves had not completely come out in the trees to obstructive the view.

Very nice stay
This was a very nice stay, the home was beautiful. A few things to note-if you have small children bring a baby gate, they do not provide one and the stairs are steep. The yard is not big but it is a nice walk around the property and the roads. I would stay again.

Everything was very clean. Sitting on the porch, enjoying the view and visiting with friends was perfect. The only negative is the steepness of the road but the comfort of the house, the views, and the serenity made it worthwhile!

Nice cabin
Not truly handicap accessible. Ramp too steep and shower not accessible. Over a cabin was cute but worn in a lot of areas. Rugs had stains and you could see the wear. Nice for quick get away. Road to cabin very steep and not a lot of property attached to house which made it limited for pets and children.

Not really handicap friendly
The property was included online as handicapped accessible, but had severe problems with the "handicap" features. The entrance ramp to the front door is dangerously high angled. It is difficult to ascend with a walker or wheelchair and almost impossible to descend without falling or losing control. The walk-in shower isn't wheelchair accessible, and the bathroom isn't equipped with safety bars for the toilet or shower. One unrelated item is the lack of a recliner couch as advertised in the online photo posting.

Tranquility Too Review
The home, location and view is beautiful. Stocked with everything you need. Porch with rocking chairs. Bedrooms very roomy and comfortable beds. My only concern, not really a complaint, is that the wood floors are really slick. I had a slip up and fell(no injury) and others had several near misses. Not really sure why they are so slick. The home is very nice and close by to restaurants, grocery store, etc. We would definitely stay here again.

Very peaceful
The house was very nice, and had everything we needed. Sitting on the porch was a dream, so quiet and peaceful. I would love to come back to this house again and probably will. I sent the owner a couple of messages and he was very quick to respond. I recommend this house, especially to relax and recharge. Even though we didn't bring our dogs it is pet friendly.

The cabin was amazing!
I was impressed with all of the amenities. We have stayed at many cabins and have had to bring toilet paper, towels., pans etc. This was a nice touch to even having laundry detergent to do laundry. The cabin was decorated very nice and was exceptionally clean. The road getting up is white steep but besides that nothing negative to say. Loved our visit would definitely stay again!

Enjoyable and well-maintained cabin
My family had a great stay at this property. We loved its location high up the mountain road with incredible views. I would recommend a 4WD vehicle orphan to use L gears entering/leaving. Maggie Valley and Waynesville are close by so you're not too far away from amenities. As other reviewers state, kitchen and cabin as a whole is very well stocked. Our dogs even loved the place and enjoyed being able to lookout at neighbors dogs and other wildlife on the large deck. We will consider returning in the future.

Look No Further for your Mountain Vacation!
We spent the week of Christmas in this beautiful cabin. We stayed very comfortably with five adults and three children. It was clean, updated and had everything we could need. The children enjoyed the loft and were able to have their own space which was great. The beds were incredibly comfortable to sleep in. The scenery around the cabin was vast and fit for exploring the day away. We watched the sunset every night from the massive porch. We enjoyed downtown Waynesville for shopping and eating too! This was all around a wonderful week.
