We liked the location within walking distance - i.e. 3km or less - of the CBC, grocery stores, South Bank, Story Bridge, etc as well as right next door to the Brisbane river. What was exceptional for us was the ability to check in Saturday morning. The front desk is also open Sunday mornings.

Unfortunately, the apartment we were allocated was quite run down and did not feel clean or well maintained. The curtains were broken and hanging down, the shower and bathroom had significant mould, the carpet was dirty, and the mirrors were also unclean. Overall, this made the apartment feel quite unhygienic and in need of a thorough clean and some maintenance. Our friends’ apartment also had a large crack in one of the window panes, which was concerning. The common areas of the building were not much better, with stained and dirty carpets throughout the hallways and noticeable unpleasant smells. The check-in and check-out process was also unnecessarily time-consuming, as was the car park process. We were particularly surprised that the office was closed at the peak check-out time of 10am. Parking was also not included and came at an additional cost. It’s a shame, as the location is fantastic and the property has a lot of potential. However, the cleanliness, maintenance and overall management need significant improvement to make the stay feel comfortable and worthwhile.
