“While we were there, there was a power outage. There was no generator backup so everything electrical was out of action”

“This place is a paradise. We truly enjoyed our stay. We booked two nights so we could fully enjoy two complete days, although we ended up leaving in the late afternoon on the second day. We would have loved to stay even longer if we could. All the amenities are of very high quality. The heated pool and spa are amazing, and the barbecue was excellent. We had a wonderful barbecue, and everything was just perfect. We will definitely come back.”

“Had a choice to stay here while visiting Whangarei. The room was tidy, and the bed was super comfy. As a solo traveller, I found the location very handy and felt totally safe. “Online info to contact hotel direct - very poor. On arrival, grateful to considerate receptionist for moving two senior guests to a room not requiring stairs. A microwave and bottle of cold water in the room would be helpful especially when arriving after dining room closed. ”

“Had a great stay with a good sized room and a neat view from the little balcony. Some recent renovations evident made for a tidy stay. Great staff were all very helpful and professional.”

“The staff was nice and tried hard to please. But the motel property and it's location though were not ideal. The room we had was very dated, the carpet needs a good clean or wash, the toilet has a layer of light brown on the bottom, the noises from the road outside kept us awake late night and early in the morning. We were rather disappointed. ”
