Wharton State Forest Vacations from $275

This was the perfect place for my group and our needs. Enough beds with options; a dark, quiet room in the basement, a shared room with a two full beds, the top floor king size suite, even a pull out sofa! All useful accommodations for a party of 5 or more. To top it off, the roof top hot tub with a city skyline view was incredible! It was a great location too, in walking distance to our venue in South Philly. Everything worked out perfectly, and I'm grateful that this option was available. Thank you!

Really unique hotel in a great area

Beautiful, beautiful hotel. Staff was probably the best I've ever encountered, as a whole. Not one person seemed to mind helping in any way they could. Joey the bellhop gave us great recommendations for dining and sightseeing. The dudes in valet were amazing, the folks that checked us in were wonderful. We got three different opinions on which cheesesteak was the best, so we tried all three. We were there as obvious Mets fans when the Mets were in town and they were still nice to us. Room is spacious, food from room service was perfect. Great shower, all of it. Definitely in the top ten of hotels we've ever stayed. Costs to be prepared for: $60 per day for valet. No self-parking available, and don't even think about trying to park elsewhere and walk your luggage here. It's Philly. And don't be the person who lets all these wonderful people that work here go out of their way to accommodate you, and not tip them. Keep plenty of $5s and $10s on you and take care of them. I saw quite a few people not reward them for their level of service. They deserve it. Next trip to Philly, we will be staying here again.
