The hotel is run down and in a run down neighborhood. Furnishings are old and shabby. My family of six had 2 rooms for one night …. $960 ! Simply unbelievable — I realize it’s Anchorage in early June and even a third rate hotel might get that rate… but paying that rate for this dump was painful ! NOTE: They say they have an airport shuttle. I called as soon as we got our bags and they said they’d be there In “10 minutes”. During the next 45 minutes I called twice again, and finally they told us to take a taxi!! Every other hotel shuttle bus came and went at least twice, and many 3 times during our 45 minute wait. So we finally took 2 taxis to the hotel. There was one positive — the breakfast was very decent. If you have ANY other hotel options in Anchorage, take them.

I had high expectations for this resort based on its reputation and beautiful location, but the guest service experience was disappointing. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Our room was not serviced to the standard expected for a resort of this caliber, and it often felt difficult to get basic issues addressed. The biggest problem was communication. Guest Services almost never answered the phone. When calls went unanswered, the voicemail mailbox was full, making it impossible to leave a message or request assistance. Calling the resort’s main number was equally frustrating because the automated phone system repeatedly sent callers in circles without connecting to a person. After multiple attempts, we were still unable to reach anyone. A luxury resort should make it easy for guests to obtain assistance, especially when they are already on the property. Unfortunately, the lack of responsive customer service overshadowed what is otherwise a beautiful setting with excellent access to the surrounding mountains. The property has tremendous potential, but management needs to improve staffing, maintain functional phone and voicemail systems, and ensure guests can quickly reach someone when they need help. Those changes alone would make a significant difference in the overall guest experience.

I think the property was friendly to pets. It had a lot of room in the front & back yard, along with a lot of space in the living room & kitchen. The bed is big, so your pet could definitely sleep with you on it or they could go into the guest bedroom too. There is a massage chair that was definitely relaxing & the place was clean
