Room was well decorated originally but is not well maintained- windows were dirty, corners dusty with cobwebs, bathroom floor not properly cleaned, cords missing on blinds so 2 out of 3 didn’t open, 2 of the lights didn’t work

Lovely clean spacious bedroom with superking bed. They even put a portable AC unit in due to the hot weather at the time. Excellent service from staff.

Steve at checkin was excellent. Room 1 was very tired. Photographs didn’t highlight how tired the room was. Breakfast was disappointing after reading such highly rated reviews. No cereal or fruit on display Though very tasty had only 1 rasher of overcooked bacon. Accompanying toast was rock hard.

Good spot to stay at in Woodstock, nice rooms, real coffee available in the room along with fresh milk, breakfast service doesn’t start until 8:30 if that is an issue for you…?

Great location, large well appointed room and very friendly, helpful staff. No parking at the property but easy to find close by. Bed super-comfy but I am a light sleeper and the noise from the extractor fans (assume from the kitchen) was evident all night and meant not much sleep Restaurant was expensive for what was pretty ordinary food.

Probably a mistake to stay here during hot weather, it was 40C in room 3 so very difficult to sleep, the TV kept blanking out or freezing, however the breakfast the following morning was fantastic ! delicious full English & super coffee….just avoid room 3 during a heatwave!

Lovely freindly welcome by Freyer who grabbed a bottle of water and fresh milk and took us up to our attic room with nice furnishings and roll top bath. The room was very warm and she turned on the AC and we went out to explore the gorgeous surrounding area. On our return the room was still very warm and without hesitation we were moved to an even nicer room on the lower floor. It was the hotest May day on record and even this room was still very warm and we didn't sleep too well. However the accommodation, bed, bathroom, service and breakfast were so good we still enjoyed our stay and do recommend the hotel. With a more effective AC system we would certainly return and the 4 stars would be 5!

Good but not quite right !

Fantastic staff and great location for Blenheim Palace. However, Woodstock is a busy town so the lack of on-site parking is a bit of an issue. It's a lovely hotel inn and we had a great room with good facilities. Note that it's on the A44 so traffic noise was noticeable and full restaurant not available on Sunday & Monday when we stayed.

Festive stay at the Crown

Had a lovely stay at the crown for our anniversary. We enjoyed the cozy and sociable pub feel with great cocktails and pizza! With the fire on and trees decorated it was very festive. We stayed a night on the top floor with a large bed and gorgeous big bath! Great location to walk to Blenheim lights and local shops. Staff were very friendly and great service. Thanks so much! We highly recommend and would stay again.
