"Hotel quality rooms and accommodation but feels like staying in someone's home. Homey breakfast, family run atmosphere, and a great personalized sunrise bike tour. Highly recommend! But may not be for travelers who don't like being constricted by rules (no eating in rooms, quiet hours, etc) but you are basically staying in someone's house so be respectful."

"Would easily recommend staying here as the staff were very helpful and the location was perfect. Note there is no car park at the property but you can park at the top of the hill close by for free public parking so you need to be fit enough to take your luggage up stairs at the hotel and down a steep road for about 50m to get to the hotel from the carpark. "We came to Zen and Pine Resort to hike Mt. Yushan. Although that wasn’t possible due to road closure, on the manager’s advice, we instead visited nearby Sun Moon Lake and hiked Mt. Shuishe, which was amazing and rescued our whole trip. I can’t say enough good things about the management of this property.
