"My daughter grandkids, and I do a grandma camp out every year. When we look for a place, it has to be reasonably priced and on a lake with the right amount of sleeping space. The facilities were nice and clean. We did flip a breaker switch in the middle of the night or rather like at 12 o’clock at night, but my grandson was able to find the breaker box and take care of it. I felt like the place did not have sufficient cookware that we have had other places that we have had, but my daughter and I love the screen back porch for drinking our coffee in the morning with no one around . The dock was an excellent shape, which the grandkids really love because we could get right up there and jump off to swim. It’s. Not the house fault but we felt that it was too small for eight people when have their adult size. Also not the owner’s fault the fishing did not hold up to what we expected off Lake Fork. This would be a great place for a smaller group if they don’t wanna fish and just wanna hang out. When we first got there, the refrigerator was not very cold and I tried to call the host, but had to go through an organization to get a hold of anybody. I’d like to have direct access to the host which we did not have. We did all agree we would like to have that doc at the house that we had last year and the fishing that we had the year before that hostess fault? No just our preference."

"We gave the property/experience five stars. Here's why.It was exactly what we expected. You get an impression from the listing's photos. That impression carried into the reality of walking into the front door. Walking in the front door (i.e. check-in) was surprisingly stress free. The house is conveniently located on the main road through the area, which we understood ahead of time. The third bedroom is accessed through the master bedroom, as was clear from the photos. ** No negative surprises! **The host made SO MANY EXTRA TOUCHES that rocked. A shelf of essentials on the refrigerator door. (Ketchup, mustard, mayo, cooking oil - I lost track.) COFFEE, a walk in area full of any kind of Kitchen Counter Appliance you'd want. A welcoming towel display in the bathrooms. Not only shampoo and body gel, but little things like Q-tips and flossers. (Saved my life when my travel floss ran out.)Plus all the usual things you expect in a rental. (Games, kitchen bowls, pots, spoons.)Looking at the photos again after the experience, I think they leave a few things out. The place has been upgraded in a few ways. The fire pit area is actually quite stunning. I've never seen one that looks that comfortable. The bathrooms have a lot more towels and racks than in the photos and look great in person!"

"Clean and neat but dated. AC went out but was addressed and repaired immediately. Excellent follow up from owner. Primary bedroom mattress and ceiling fan need replaced. Game room was spacious and well stocked with games. Pool was nice. Nice setup for large groups who want separate cottages."

"We had a great 3 night stay near Fork with the family! This property is the perfect location for anyone looking to access any part of the lake you are interested in fishing or just a great overnight stay! Very family friendly host was awesome and very accommodating! We will definitely try and get back as soon as possible! "
