"First, thank you for allowing me to rent your lake home. I am forever grateful for the gift of your space to rent through VRBO. The location is lovely, the home is pretty great, but if you want a nice warm shower, you may want to reconsider this property.I was cooking in the kitchen and the smell of rotten eggs was absolutely overwhelming. The next day I tried to take a shower--it was awful. I came out smelly, unclean and itchy. I reached out for help and while there was an immediate answer, and responsiveness to tell me a plumber wouldn't be able to come to the home, that the smell is likely due to a mineral issue. Having had a home in the area for most of my life right down the beach, and another near a hot spring, this is far more than the standard sulfuric smell. This was overwhelming and again, seemingly unhealthy--I left Sunday and it's Wednesday night--I still have a rash.I read up on the issue and tried to help fix it--drained the hot water heater completely as it sounds like bacteria can grow. This resulted in needing to use washcloths with cold water to clean myself for the 3 nights I was there, and no help to address the issue, or any other sort of apology or measure to make it right.A nice, warm, scent free shower should be a mainstay no matter the price point."
