"Great location and stylish 5 star hotel. However, the internal facility is bit out dated, some parts even a bit damaged. "

"The location is very good and there is a wide range of food at breakfast Buffett, including Chinese and western cuisine. The room is outdated a bit but clean. I reserved a city view room but was given a room with sort of garden view. When I asked the hotel staff, I was told that the room with city view is generally noisy and it really sounds like an excuse. I just hoped that when checking in, they should’ve made it clear to me."

When I returned to Avira--6th stay--after a trip to Tianjin a week later, I was given a dark and gloomy room, xx06, facing the courtyard on the same floor despite my similar request. Two hours after, I approached the manager who was kind enough to make my wish come true. And switched me to sunny, streetview room xx33, Really didn't know why...

"My husband really enjoyed our stay in Beijing. Hotel Kapok is centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. About a 30-60 minute drive to PEK (depending on traffic) and 60-90 minute drive to the Great Wall Mutianyu. The hotel breakfast was really good and had a variety of options. Staff was helpful and friendly!"

"The area surrounding the hotel is good for sight seeings. But since it is in the heart of governmental admin area, it lacks of local lives in the sense of real local food (you can find quite a bit of tourist food) Be prepare to do quite a bit if walking and the area is hugh!"
