River Perch on the Cacapon: private home on 27 acres and 1200 ft of riverfront
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, 16 reviews
"This is a beautiful and spacious home with river access and porch for sunning and relaxing. We spent 2 of our 4-night hiking trip here. The owner went out of his way for us, lighting the fire pit, and bringing smore fixings for the kids (12 and 13). Inner tubes and kayaks were available, and despite the cold temp., the kids tubed down the shallow river and were in heaven! Spotlessly clean, and we were thrilled to find Rummikub in the game cupboard. Quiet, private area."

Adorable Cabin at Trout-Stocked Paddy Run Surrounded by GWNF and Hiking Trails
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, 191 reviews
"Overall we enjoyed our stay. A couple things of note: Bringing black out shades is super helpful! The closet in the bedroom is big enough for a portable crib. Be sure to bring toilet paper. We only had one full and one partial roll between the two bathrooms(and they were paper thin). Because there isn’t anywhere super close, it’s nice to know to pack some ahead of time :) The road is so peaceful and we went on the trail quite a few times. It was a bit wet, so we didn’t make it all the way...
