### Cosy but spacious, historic cottage on The Red House Estate

Vavasour is part of the main building on the historic, private Red House Estate only 7 miles from York and 14 miles from Harrogate. Seasonal use of a large, shared, outdoor heated swimming pool, grass tennis court and croquet lawn, all open from the end of May to September. Wonderful walks along the River Ouse, just a 45 minute stroll to a choice of eateries in the nearby village of Poppleton.  
Pet friendly with secure garden.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Vavasour House is clean, comfortable and cosy. Our hosts were most welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped so we had no problems preparing and cooking our Christmas Day dinner. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed taking walks along the nearby river - there are numerous footpaths through the Red House Estate.
